● High fresh‑meat feeding capacity: Supports up to 100% fresh‑meat input with material moisture content ≤60%, perfect for high‑meat formulas.
● Low‑temperature processing preserves nutrition: Cold extrusion minimizes thermal damage to vitamins and active proteins.
● Interchangeable & adjustable dies: Various dies are available to produce kibble, meat strips, meat dices, meat rings and other shapes.
● Compatible with grain‑free formulas: Works with alternative carbohydrate sources such as potato, pea and cassava to produce grain‑free pet food.
The cold‑extrusion pet food processing machine is specially developed for premium pet food production. Unlike conventional high‑temperature puffing technology, it adopts low‑temperature mechanical extrusion forming and supports ultra‑high fresh‑meat loading. It is suitable for producing pure‑meat, high‑protein, grain‑free and semi‑moist pet kibble as well as low‑temperature baked kibble. Interchangeable dies deliver meat‑based pet food in multiple shapes. It maximally preserves heat‑sensitive nutrients such as vitamins and active proteins from raw materials, acting as the core main unit for high‑end pet food production lines.
Working Principle
Pre‑processed raw materials including fresh meat, meat paste, plant protein, tubers and legumes are fed into the hopper. The machine completes extrusion forming by mechanical pressure under full‑process low‑temperature control, without high‑temperature puffing. After extrusion through the die head, materials are cut to fixed lengths by a rotary cutter. Matching downstream low‑temperature baking / drying equipment removes excess moisture to produce dense non‑puffed pet products including kibble pellets, meat strips and meat dices.
Process Flow
Raw material pretreatment → Mixing & blending → Cold extrusion forming → Fixed‑length cutting → Low‑temperature baking / drying → Cooling → Screening → Finished‑product packaging

The cold‑extrusion pet food processing machine is widely applied to produce pure‑meat, high‑protein, grain‑free, semi‑moist pet kibble and low‑temperature baked kibble. It can process various raw materials such as fresh meat, meat paste, tubers and legumes to manufacture pet staple food and meat‑based treats in different forms including pellets, meat strips, meat dices and meat rings. It is available for new product R&D and trial runs, and can work standalone or be integrated into complete automatic production lines to meet mass‑production requirements of premium pet‑food factories and pet‑snack manufacturers.
